POSITION
Stony
Brook is 22.5 ha in extent and is bisected by two streams that flow through
the farm from April until December.
It's position is 33 degrees 56.789 minutes South and 19 degrees 07.424
minutes East.
Most vineyard rows run SE to NW in line with the prevailling winds. The
slopes are largely north-facing.

Soils
in the Franschhoek Valley vary greatly & our vineyards are planted
on a variety of different soil types from decomposed granite to sandy
loams - all the varietals being matched to particular soils for maximum
quality.
TRELLISING
All
vineyards are trellised on a single cordon with three double foliar
wires in vertical hedge.
